Brandalley Launches Virtual Platform For Fashion Newcomers

BrandAlley, a discount luxury online retailer, launched a new virtual reality on its French and British websites.

platform

To promote and support those fashionable newcomers.

The company will launch a new concept called Le Lab in 2011.

Inspired by the rising crowdsourcing trend, Le Lab will allow BrandAlley netizens to vote and decide which designs will be made and sold on the website.

They will choose more than ten designers from the famous fashion schools, including the L'OREAL research institute run by the French fashion official management agency. The Institute will take part in the new project.

Their sketches will be published on Le Lab.

If the designed fashion series wins 1000 votes in the Le Lab online community, they will be produced in BrandAlley factories in China and Tunisia.

Online shoppers can pre order when the fashion series is not being produced.

In this way, BrandAlley's factories can deliver goods directly to shoppers and reduce costs related to business through third parties.

Besides buying crowdsourcing products on Le Lab, shoppers can even participate in the financing of new design products.

BrandAlley spokesman Dominique Felesne told us: "online users can contribute 20 to 50 euros of micro capital to become the virtual shareholders of the new fashion series."

Sales revenue will be allocated to those who support the fashion series.

"We want to be an important role in the fashion world by participating in the process of creating," said Sven Ron, founder and chairman of BrandAlley.

In 2008, BrandAlley first tested the new concept of crowdsourcing on the UK website. The company hosted a competition around the design of black dresses, which required designers to submit their design sketches to Le Lab.

The 12 design was selected by British users of BrandAlley and then produced and sold through the website.

This experiment was greatly welcomed by customers, so BrandAlley decided to develop Le Lab online and put it in the permanent part of the website instead of a short part.

BrandAlley is a member based online shopping mall specializing in sales.

Cross

Hugo Boss, Mark Jakob and Versace and other fashion brands offer a discount of up to 30 percent off.

The French online retail store was established in 2005 and followed the online shopping mall mode in 2008.

Today, its two websites already have nearly 2 million registered users.

The idea behind BrandAlley Le Lab is direct retail and crowdsourcing, which allows consumers to

Design

And production has the right to speak, so it has the potential to change fashion view immediately.

Big brands such as canvas shoes, brun Ming Dyer and Nike have tried this idea.

Recently, designer Derek Ram announced that he will launch a fashion series specially sold on the eBay auction platform in February 2011, and allow online users to vote on what fashion series they want to produce.
